Bethlehem is the cradle of Christianity, the site of the Church of the Nativity, which contains an underground cave where Mary gave birth to Jesus. The Star of Bethlehem was a miraculous sign that marked the birth of Christ and inspired the Three Wise Men to travel to Jerusalem to visit the new born king.
