Description
Hand-carved from genuine olive wood that was grown in the Holy Land.
The Greek Orthodox Cross was used as a symbol, not only of religious but also of artistic (ornamental) character. Its equal arms symbolise the four main elements of nature; air, fire, water and earth. The dove holding an olive branch in its beak is a universal symbol of peace, grace and mercy. The City of Jerusalem is the place where Jesus preached, died and was resurrected. Many also see the city as central to an imminent Second Coming of Jesus.
